The FBI has released some of Alderman Fred Roti's FBI file. It appears Mayor Richard M. Daley and Alderman Fred Roti ("made member" of Chicago Mob) had "financial contribution ties". It appears that the Justice Department by 1999 , no longer believed Alderman Roti was just an associate of organized crime (check pages 27 and 47 of the 1999 RICO indictment). This makes Mayor Daley a known associate of organized crime for accepting Roti's money. Here's the FBI file.
